Computing for dummies, done the right way
Imagine you got a computer in a box, that cost only two hundred dollars. Imagine that, for support and administration, you paid a monthly $50 fee to be assisted by experts.
That's what Eddie Bleasdale wants to be startin'. And I'll admit, it's a fantastic idea. Users don't get the root password to the machines, so there's no way they could screw their machine up. They get all the support from trained professionals (in Linux!). They get all the benefits and none of the headaches.
Quoting from the Reg:
"Users require no security or administration skills, and the actions of the users cannot compromise the integrity of the computer, and software is updated remotely." ®"Users require no security or administration skills, and the actions of the users cannot compromise the integrity of the computer, and software is updated remotely."
This idea seems to be a winner.
